TBC Youth Group Ministry

Our youth group kids and leaders can’t not believe how quickly this year is already zooming by!! They are so excited for the things we have going on this spring!

Youth has had a lot of fun over the past few weeks! We had a double feature movie night with a surprise celebrity guest during both movies, Batman and Captain Jack Sparrow.  Over spring break we held a Chopped Style cooking competition where students had to take mystery ingredients (like salsa, cream cheese, cherries, and Doritos) and turn them into a delicious and edible dessert. The judges panel is still recovering from those concoctions, but it was a good time! Next month we are hosting a Mystery Party night for our kids, and as the weather gets warmer, are looking for an outdoor service project! Bible wise we finished our Anxiety and Depression series, which gave us really great biblical reference points about how to handle everyday stresses and concerns, and it was so good to hear how to pray for our kids!  Our next focus in April is exploring some of those classics big questions that youth and adults alike always wonder about: Justice/Grace, Heaven/Hell, and angels/demons. What has the media told us? What does the Bible say? We will explore these topics and allow the kids to be open and honest about some of those bigger Bible mysteries.

We have many of our youth participating in the FSK production of Les Mis, and we have many graduates this year as well! Please be praying for ALL of our students as they finish out the school year. Youth is also growing, so  please be praying through solutions for spaces, as well as, willing workers to help us with this massive harvest of teens that need caring adults who can just listen and be present.
