OWLS - OLDER WISER LIVELIER SAINTS

Every month our group of OWLS come together for food, fun, and fellowship! There are a wonderful group of people that everyone should aspire to be one day.

OWLS Gathering

Birthdays are to be celebrated and today we went BIG at our OWLS Birthday Party Gathering with Special guest Star, Derek Reed!  We started our day remembering special OWLS that are no longer here with us. We then sang our theme song, This is The Day and spent time in prayer to Our Father In Heaven.

After a delicious, as always Pot Luck Lunch we talked about times going back into the 1920’s and the prices of things. I shared a short poem, Getting A Little Mixed Up before our cake , birthday song and our make a wish moment.

Desserts, door prizes and preparing for our guest were next on the agenda.

Today was Derek’s fourth time with us. He is a wonderful young man, just 21 years old. He loves to involve the audience in his songs and is also quite funny.

He shared songs today of his choice and also songs of some of the OWLS choices. I was extremely blessed today looking at so many OWLS while Derek was singing and knowing that they were happy and blessed too. A special thank you to all that helped make today possible.
