TBC Kid’s club

Wonderful things are happening with our kids in children’s ministry!

Happy April from the Children's ministry! What an incredible March and Easter our younger saints have had this month, and what an exciting time for our children’s ministry as a whole!

Easter was so much fun with these kids! They really enjoyed walking through the attributes of Jesus on Sunday mornings over the last few weeks, which culminated in our epic egg hunt and sticker story of the resurrection!

Wednesday night Pioneer Club kids have been focusing on a few of the Bible’s favorite Biblical heroes! If you saw the tent in the fellowship hall, don’t worry, with Gideon’s help we got rid of those Midianites!  We explored the testimony of Rahab and Joshua, and are rounding out our heroes lesson with the younger David and his foe Goliath. The kids did a great job knocking him out this past Wednesday with their smooth “ping pong” stone balls, and played a Trivia game reviewing all they have learned so far. This month we will be moving into our Leading God’s Way unit- focusing on how God shaped and modeled what leadership really looks like with God. In a few weeks the kids will also be building pine car derby cars, and continuing to earn their bible badges!

Our school ministry, Good News Club, is finishing up their year here is a few short weeks. This group met on Tuesday right after school in our local and public, Runnymede Elementary. We will be hosting an awards ceremony and reception for those kids and families at the end of the month during service. This ministry is a huge opportunity to reach kids and families to the goodness of Jesus Christ, and we are so thankful for our TBC crew of Ms Gina, Ms Liz, Mr Ken - and Ms Barbara and Mr Tom- for taking their time to invest in the future of the kingdom of God.

On the administrative side of Kid’s ministry, many have noticed lots of changes and rearranging over the last few weeks. We have relocated the nursery, moved out of the storage closet, and opened up some classroom space in the fellowship hall by collapsing walls and moving to round tables as our set up and our volunteers report it has been a GAME changer! Ministry is flowing and growing, and all of these changes are helping us during these transitions! HUGE thank you to Tom Miller who had been our right hand handyman, and all of our children’s ministry volunteers who have stepped up and answered the call, always ready and willing to help and grow with these kids as we put new check in systems and badges in place.

As always, working with these kids is A LOT of fun! If you have a heart for kids, that is all Jesus requires! We would love some more helping hands on Sundays in nursery with the babies, and in our toddler room. You won’t have to do anything but show up and love on kids, all teaching materials are provided and READY to go! It's super easy to serve in these areas, so please let Sarah M know if you are willing to take it for a test drive!
